Underfoot Feel
Nike's signature React foam cushioning forms the midsole of the Pegasus Trail 4 Running Shoes. As a result, you should experience great protection on hard surfaces, and some extra responsiveness when you need it. For example, when you're treading through some softer ground.
The rubber pattern offers great versatility. By this, we mean it should work well on a range of surfaces. This includes sections of road, to looser surfaces - such as grass, tracks, and forest trails.
Upper Fit
The Nike Trail 4 features GORE-TEX Invisible Fit to help keep weight down. This fully-waterproof fabric stops water entering the material.
Please note the gaiter is not waterproof. However, this does help prevent debris entering the shoes. If water rises over the top of your ankles, water will enter the shoes.
Ideal Run Type
We recommend using the Nike Men's Pegasus 4 GORE-TEX Running Shoes for wet trail runs. This is down to the fact that the waterproof upper should help keep your feet dry and comfortable.
While these are suitable for decent stretches of road running, we don't suggest using them as dedicated road running shoes. They perform at their best when you're covering a variety of surfaces.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
